Standard Civil Protection Patrol Unit typically unassigned to a division / specialization
Primarily serves as a combat unit partaking in frontline engagements, missions, and hardpoint clamping operations
Rank is obtained after probationary (recruit) phase is completed and the unit is properly integrated into the rank point / time-in-grade (TIG) promotion system along with receiving permanent tagline assignment
Level 1 authorization for weapon, equipment, and general duties
INTENTION FIVE (i5) RP : 2 pts | TIG : 3
Experienced Civil Protection Patrol Unit First Class eligible to receive general specialization training for one of the four primary specializations and is permanently assigned to a specialized division
Frontline unit performing operations related to their designated specialization at the lowest level
Rank is obtained after Patrol Unit (i6) when proper TIG requirements have been reached
Level 1 authorization for weapon, equipment, general, and specialization duties
INTENTION FOUR (i4) RP : 5 pts | TIG : 5
Senior Patrol Unit that is eligible to enter the transhuman pipeline for Sector Overwatch when RP & TIG is complete for promotion to the next rank (i3). They will have the opportunity to choose career progression through Civil Protection or move down a separate path with the Overwatch Transhuman Arm
Seasoned frontline unit technically skilled within their authorization level of their specialization. Senior Patrol Units’ are able to lead probationary units and integrate probationary recruits into the ranks
Rank is obtained after Patrol Unit First Class (i5) when proper TIG requirements have been reached

SECOND INTENTION SEGMENT - Level 2 Authorization
INTENTION THREE (i3) RP : 10 pts | TIG : 10
Intention Corporal Junior Non-Commissioned Officer (JNCO) eligible to receive the next tier of training within their designated specialization
Frontline Patrol Team Leader for combat, hardpoint, specialization specific operations, and supervises lower ranking intention units within their specialization assignment
Rank is obtained after Senior Patrol Unit (i4) when proper rank points TIG requirements have been reached

THIRD INTENTION SEGMENT - Level 3 Authorization
INTENTION TWO (i2) RP : 20 | TIG : 15
Patrol Sergeant Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) eligible for advanced tier specialization training
Frontline Patrol Team Leader for combat, hardpoint, specialization specific operations, and supervises junior NCOs along with lower ranking intention units within their specialization assignment
Rank is obtained after Intention Corporal (i3) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached
Level 3 authorization for weapon, equipment, general, specialization, and advanced training duties
INTENTION ONE (i1) RP : 30 | TIG : 25
Intention Sergeant Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) eligible for officer candidate selection when proper TIG has been reached
Primary trainer for basic-advanced level specialization training, NCO leadership training, and standard operating procedures maintainer for their designated specialization
Rank is obtained after Patrol Sergeant (i2) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached
Frontline Senior NCO and Squad Leader for combat, hardpoint, and specialization specific operations within their section of command
Level 3 authorization for weapon, equipment, general, specialization, and advanced training management duties
CONSCRIPTED OFFICER SEGMENT - Level # Authorization
HUNTER-TO-INTERROGATOR (HtI) RP : N/A | TIG : N/A
Political Conscript Intelligence Officer that was leadership or a valuable asset in the Resistance prior to capture. This unit is rare and has received substantial memory replacement almost equal to that of an overwatch soldier
Intelligence gathering, interrogation, and master reconnaissance specialist that assists high-command with battle tactics
Rank is only assigned to political conscripts. Standard units regardless of their rank are unauthorized for this position
Authority level equal to a field officer but possesses no leadership ability and is only allowed to attach with other HtI units. They serve as a rankless advisor and tactician
COMMISSIONED OFFICER SEGMENT - Level 4 Authorization
TIER LEADER (TL) RP : 50 | TIG : 30
Field Officer designated for establishing and maintaining forward hardpoints. Primary asset for strategic field structure placement
Hardpoint leader, raw resource logistics management, and second in command for their assigned specialization
Rank is obtained after Intention Sergeant (i1) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached along with the unit successfully passing officer candidate selection
Leads, directs, and oversees all specialization related training / tryout operations
Level 4 authorization for weapon, equipment, general, specialization, and construction privileges
RANK LEADER (RL) RP : 65 | TIG : 40
Specialization Leader and Nexus Utility Officer that manages an entire specialization. There can only be four active RLs per Nexus Force Detachment
Rank is obtained after Tier Leader (TL) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached along with the assigned RL slot for a particular specialization becomes available (Unit was de-serviced or transferred)
Level 4 authorization for weapon, equipment, general, specialization, and advanced construction privileges
HIGH-COMMAND OFFICER SEGMENT - Level 5 Authorization
OVERSIGHT CAPTAIN (ō2) RP : 80 | TIG : 60
Senior Officer with full command authority over all Civil-Protection units and construction operations
Primarily manages all nexus operations and designates all troop movement / hardpoint locations within a sector. Works directly with the Oversight Control Leader in tactical planning and large-scale operations. There can only be two active ō2s per Nexus Force Detachment
Rank is obtained after Rank Leader (RL) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached and one of the two Captain slots become available (Unit de-servicement or reassignment).
Level 5 authorization granting the highest level of clearance for all privileges including complete construction blueprint access
OVERSIGHT LEADER (ō1) RP : 100 | TIG : 100
Oversight Control Unit for all Overwatch operations and Commander of a Force Detachment within an assigned sector
Delegates operational level tasks to be properly distributed amongst forces ensuring all combat, support, and logistics roles are flowing efficiently
Finalizes all promotions above the rank of i4
Manages all doctrine (forms, guides, training manuals, etc) and modifies all combine standard operating procedures (including transhuman forces)
Rank is obtainable after Captain (ō2) when proper rank points and TIG requirements have been reached and the current Oversight Leader is de-serviced or reassigned. There can only be one active ō1 per Nexus Force Detachment
Oversees nexus construction, research, resources distribution, and vehicle production operations
Assumes direct tactical command over all strategic troop movement and placement
Level 5 authorization granting the highest level of clearance for all privileges including complete construction blueprint access

SPECIALIZATIONS:
ZONE : ENGINEER
Construction and logistics specialists
Access to a variety of advanced deployable equipment and construction setup kits with ability to establish hardpoint, resource, and defensive related structures
Access to the nexus research station and primary unit for raw resource transportation / fabrication
Access to ground vehicle deployment and operation
Assists higher ranking units with Nexus construction and hardpoint construction expansion
Defensive and logistics backbone for the entire Nexus Force Detachment. All operational readiness, force multiplication, tactical capability, and strategy is determined from the effectiveness of this specialization
SPEAR : INTELLIGENCE
Reconnaissance, forward observer, and information gathering specialists
Access to various intelligence gathering equipment specific towards recon operations
Access to standard and combat scanner variants depending on unit rank
Directs and adjusts call for fire missions from various command indirect fire support assets
Assists with interrogation and prisoner management
Creates tactical troop movement layouts on various 2D maps and assists battle staff with strategic high-level combat tactics. Understands joint overwatch map symbology.
Tactical nervous system and brain of the Nexus Force Detachment. All strategies are developed and modified from intelligence units down to the lowest level. They learn and study the enemy at all times finding various ways to out maneuver Resistance forces
Occasionally attached to Transhuman teams for special classified assignment
(Note: Once a unit reaches i6 they can participate in a specialization tryout session when announced)
HELIX : MEDICAL
Combat medic and surgical specialist
Access to advanced medical equipment for both field and rear support duties
Able to properly perform combat life-savor tasks to bring injured units back to 100% combat effectiveness
All medical specialists are equipped with defibrillators, stim boosters, and advanced bio-gel allowing them to revive or stop critical bleeding of downed units
Primary unit tasks with performing memory replacement procedures, stalkerization, and other advanced surgical procedures when the correct rank is achieved
TAP : COMBAT
Standard patrol and combat unit
Extended training focused on battle tactics at the team and squad level
Access to standard-issue Civil Protection equipment and weaponry
Units interested in following the transhuman arm transition pipeline will progress more efficiently when assigned to TAP
Units interested in following the Civil Protection rank progression will advance more efficiently when assigned to one of the primary three specializations
